Sunday Youtube Post

Many, many millions of years ago, this lake was connected to the ocean. It is no longer connected to the ocean. Natural selection has gotten rid of all the Jellyfish's poison stingers, because they have no predators in their new environment. There is nothing for them to eat in this lake, so they live completely off photosynthesis.

  1. one of my (many) guilty pleasures is, I shudder to admit it, is watching 'Survivor'. Yeah, whatever.
anyway, a couple of seasons ago, some of the contestants got to swim in this lake.
And speaking of jelly fish, did you catch the 'mythbusters' where they ran a jelly fish over a chicks arm to test whether vodka is as good as a medical treatment to a jelly fish sting? As a matter of fact, vodka works.

  2. Don't be ashamed of liking Survivor. I kind of want to watch it, but I never remember when it's on, and then I have no idea what's going on because you can't miss an episode.

What's most amazing to me about those jellyfish is that they live off PHOTOSYNTHESIS. I didn't know nonplants could do that.
